In Harmony with Nature, Culture & Modernity
A New Landmark
for Datanla
BUSHER Destination Design & Development is proud to present the conceptual design for Datanla's new Reception Centre. Drawing inspiration from the dramatic waterfall landscape, the K'Ho ethnic culture and the rich natural heritage of Đà Lạt–Lâm Đồng, this structure is conceived not merely as a shelter but as a cultural landmark that elevates the visitor experience and long-term economic value of the resort.
With over 520,000 visitors annually, the centre must perform on three levels simultaneously — functional infrastructure, visual icon, and revenue-generating asset.
Protection
Generous covered circulation sheltering peak-hour visitor flows from rain and sun, with natural cross-ventilation throughout.
Architecture
A striking architectural identity that becomes an unmistakable symbol and a memorable check-in moment unique to Datanla.
Activation
Optimised kiosk, café and souvenir spaces — projected at ~1.2 billion VND in annual supplementary revenue from kiosk leases.

Culture
Indigenous Materials
& Local Palette
To evoke familiarity and honour local identity, the design prioritises materials native to the Đà Lạt–Lâm Đồng region. Each material carries its own story — of forest, stone, water and highland culture — reinforcing an architecture that belongs entirely to this place.

Three Distinct
Design Directions
Each option is a standalone architectural narrative, rooted in a different defining characteristic of Datanla and its indigenous culture. All three share the same material palette, programme and structural principles.

Architecture in
Its Natural Setting
The renders illustrate how the structure integrates with Datanla's waterfall scenery, the surrounding pine forest and the natural topography of the site — showing the building at home in its landscape from every angle.

Floor Plan
& Key Figures
The entire programme is optimised to ensure natural visitor flow while maximising the footprint of revenue-generating ancillary spaces — kiosk, café, souvenir retail and a potential underground expansion zone for additional commercial use.

Inside the
Reception Centre
Interior spaces are designed to feel welcoming and nature-connected, with local cultural references woven into every surface and material. Diffused natural light pours through the signature roof structure, creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere throughout the day.
