Meets the Table
A conceptual restaurant design proposal at Datanla Waterfall, Đà Lạt — conceived as an architectural response to the surrounding highland landscape. The design weaves together the misty atmosphere of the forest, the flowing lines of mountain ridges, and the cultural richness of the K'ho ethnic heritage into a unified dining destination.
The Building
in Its Landscape
The general concept unifies all three sources of inspiration into a single architectural gesture — a building that rises from the hillside, breathes with the fog, and blooms at its heart.

of Design
The design is understood through seven distinct architectural decisions, each addressing a different aspect of the building's relationship with site, climate, and experience.
A Hillside
You Can Walk On
The roof is not a lid placed on top of a building. It is the most active part of the experience — a landscaped slope that visitors ascend, traverse, and rest upon while surrounded by the pine forest of Datanla. Walking its staircase, guests feel the sensation of hiking a hillside, while the fog system below their feet releases mist into the tree canopy.
K'ho Heritage
in Every Line
The facade screen translates the decorative textile motifs of the K'ho ethnic group — the indigenous highland community of Lâm Đồng — into a system of louvres and screens that simultaneously manage solar gain and embed cultural identity into the building's surface. The mountain line of Đà Lạt further informs the overall massing language of the elevation.
The Building
from the Road
The elevation presents the restaurant as a naturally integrated structure — the sloped roof and planted surfaces blend with the treeline, while the glazed facade and peach blossom centrepiece invite entry. The building reads as part of the landscape, not an imposition upon it.
